A childlike state of imagination. I painted these images to take you back to your childhood, where imagination was infinite. I used bright colors and thick texture using plaster to create a sense of curiosity, inviting you to touch and experience the tactility of the medium. Influences for this series are fairies, colorful skies and fantasy. Underlying tones of going back to the past, when everything seemed like color filled rainbows, a worry-free age full of hope and dreams.

More about A Midsummer Night’s Dream – True to the form of the Shakespeare play, set under the light of the moon, the stars here represent the characters controlled by fairies symbolized by the hanging strings. Bright but muddled colors show a sense of make believe, of love and of sorrow.
More about Fairy Wings: The painting shows an image of a fairy with big wide wings, her back to the viewer, aids the question, are fairies real? Enveloped in a cloud of white, the subdue colors almost erases its existence, further dividing their mystical world from our own reality. Mystery and curiosity is aided by the tactility of the medium used, it invites you to touch it to feel the details.
